The ArtPlace gave the $268,500 of the grant to the Detroit Institute of Arts to be used for a Cultural Living Room Project promising to enlist a local design from to help the design the museum.
The Power House Productions, however, will receive a $250,000 grant from ArtPlace to transform vacant homes into art spaces, theater, and recreation programming.
