Ever since the banking crisis of 2008, charities have struggled to regain their prominence. In today's world, the need for charities is sometimes overwhelming. However, the funds needed to run these charities are not. Between 2010 and 2015, charitable donations in the United Kingdom have steadily declined. This decline is seen at a rate of almost 13%. There are other things effecting charities today. Things such as scandals and embezzlement are crippling charities.
However, all is not lost. One company, located in the north-west of England, is trying to change all of this. Over the last two years, this company has turned over more than 3 million euros. They have done this through the donation of furniture donations, as well as training programs. This company is the Furniture Resource Centre, which only used 1.4% of this money from governmental agencies.
