Grant funding for new in-home child care providers available

credit:

Up to $5,000 in grant funding is available to those starting a child care facility in their home. Several information sessions are coming soon to the Steamboat Springs area. These funds are not included in county funds which are also available. A provider must meet specific criteria to be eligible for the grants.

Child care is an important part of daily living - unfortunately, statistics show that the percentage of acceptable and affordable child care is low particularly for children who are under the age of 3. Participants will also be able to get coached from the Child Care Network as well as receive financial assistance for those who wish to take early childhood education courses. If you are interested in obtaining more information about the grant, the contact information as well as the location of the information sessions are provided.
