$2.5M, 5-year grant awarded to improve Trenton's health

In an incredible effort to promote preventative health care, the Trenton Health Team has been awarded 2.5 million dollars over a five year period. The city of Trenton plans to use this money to provide outstanding health care. Trenton, as a whole city, specifically plans on targeting healthcare issues such as obesity.

Trenton Health Team recognizes that if they can keep these growing health threats from continuing to grow that they can make a substantial impact on the state of health in their community.

Trinity Health, a partnering organization, admits that not enough focus has been spent on prevention of debilitating health conditions and believes that this is a step toward aiding preventative health care. This 2.5 million represents a shift in the healthcare community's traditional views of medicine.
