Grant Supports Boys &Amp; Girls Club of the Yurok Tribe

The Boys and Girls Club of the Yurok Tribe in Klamath, Calif., is getting a big boost from a local foundation.

The Humboldt Area Foundation+Wild Rivers Community Foundation has granted the club $25,000 for "operational expenses that include cultural field trips, supplies, and activities for community's children," the group said in a statement.

The club, which is affiliated with the Yurok Tribe, offers after-school and summer programs for at-risk youth.

"This grant will go a long way in helping us provide safe, positive experiences for our youth," says the club's manager.
