A Texas-based video game developer is putting its money where its mouth is.
The Verge reports that Borderlands Entertainment has launched a new philanthropic initiative calledGearbox Gives, which aims to use the "power of entertainment to inspire, and create."
The initiative's executive director, Aaron Thibault, says in a statement that the company is "humbled by the potential of entertainment and community to advance social good through the creation of Direct Gives."
According to the Dallas Morning News, the initiative will focus on three areas: education, providing access to high-quality STEM education, and community partnerships and initiatives.
"Our work will support communities close home and around the world, bolster access to high-quality STEM education, and more," Thibault says in the statement.
