A Foundation Takes Aim at a Community's White, Male Power Structure

The Lancaster County Community Foundation has launched a new initiative targeting the community's white, male-dominated power structure.

The community foundation, which is known as an influential grant-dispensing group with an $85-million endowment, argues that the lack of diversity threatens prosperity. The foundation is currently starting a civic discussion about how leadership should reflect changing demographics.
