Community Thrift Store Friendship Quilt: A Glimpse Into the Fredonia Past

The Community Thrift Store located at Mason Square receives items to sell as donations which enables the store to 'give back' to the community through grants provided by the Mason Community Foundation.

A recent, historic donation was a supposed Friendship quilt bed cover handmade from 1941 and signed by 30 members of the Fredonia Quilting Club. Intended for another resident, the quilt embodies how families of these rural areas held in esteem their sense of 'community'.
