Antonio Zappulla, CEO of the Thomson Reuters Foundation, writes that Canada is the latest hot spot for socially-minded entrepreneurs.
Zappulla shares a Thomson Reuters Foundation's global survey recently published that ranks "the best countries for social entrepreneurs". The survey, which features the world's 45 biggest economies, puts Canada firmly at the top.
The survey cites supportive government policies, ease of access to investment and grants, and the strong representation of young people and women within the sector.
According to Zappulla, this is a strong accomplishment for the country, given that Canada is fairly new to this game.
