Opinion: The Cleveland Foundation Could do Much More to Support Cleveland

The Cleveland Foundation continues to tackle the city's problems for over a century.

The foundation has recently addressed the prohibitive costs of college, which resulted into a funding campaign to support Say Yes to Education in Cleveland, a free college tuition and student support program for Cleveland public high school graduates.

In this opinion piece by Paul Springstubb, a retired Shaker Heights High School teacher who descends from a family with more than 150 years of roots in Cleveland,
he criticizes why the community foundation's payout rate lags behind its peers.

Soringstubb notes that the foundation has the capacity for a much larger role since Cleveland's future may depend upon it.
