The 1214 Foundation, founded by Danbury plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Baroody, hopes to establish a Newton Performing Arts Center to provide community healing through the arts.
Since the Sandy Hook elementary school shooting, foundations have sprouted in the locality to help victims and residents live in a safer, more secure environment. The proposed performing arts center will provide opportunities and a gathering place for the youth and the whole community.
