The Berkeley FILM Foundation has awarded a combined $150,000 in grants to assist the filmmakers of their films' production and to provide the films with the credibility and recognition.
According to Barbara Hillman, film commissioner and treasurer of the foundation, they are not only trying to sustain and help out documentary filmmakers, they also assist new filmmakers and create an interest in documentary film-making.
