Kingsland Superintendent John McDonald appreciated Spring Valley Area Community Foundation Treasurer Eric Goddard for their help to the Gateway Academy, a weeklong academic day camp that was held at Kingsland Middle School.
The $2,500 check from the Spring Valley Area Community Foundation enabled about 30 local students to attend the Gateway Academy for free, aiming for a hands-on learning experience that will inspire their creativity and nurture their imaginations in science, technology, engineering and math.
