Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation
The plan to ensure Tahoe/Truckee children are reading at grade level by the end of third grade has been chosen as a finalist for the All-America City Award, sponsored by the National Civic League.
This plan is initiating a focus on summer learning loss through a "Stop the Summer Slide!" Program and to ensure that every child heads into summer with books of their own, schools and community groups are holding book drives.
