Five new endowment funds will be part of the Fremont Area
Community Foundation's 30th anniversary in 2010.
The foundation plans to start endowment funds in arts and culture,
education, health and recreation, civic improvement and social
services. "Those mirror our normal five areas we grant to; those are the
areas of the foundation we support the community through,"
executive director Kristine Gale explained. "These five specialized endowment funds
will provide a new source of funding for grants in a specific area
and it allows donors to narrow their support if they wish to do
that."
