The Detroit Pistons have been very active in the community and especially involved in helping youth obtain jobs. They have donated $100,000 to help create 50-60 internship positions so that underprivileged teens of Detroit can get jobs and form a life long habit of work and success.

The commitment to the program is meant to be about a year, but they hope the youth will stick with the lessons they learn for a life time. This program is not the first nor does it seem to be the last of it's kind. Other things that have been done are sports camps. Basketball training for youth was provided after the Pistons donated 300000 to Detroit Pal back in January.

This team clearly has left it's mark on the community and is strengthening youth all around the city.
