The world's first accelerator focused on marine bio-based solutions is back, and this time it's looking for startups that can make a positive difference in the world's oceans, Quartz reports.
The Blue Bio Value Accelerator, which runs for 10 weeks in Portugal, is looking for "impact ventures from around the world with projects that represent a business opportunity along the value chain of marine bio-resources, including, but not limited to, biotechnology-based projects that tackle the following topics: Ensuring sustainable food systemsAddressing climate change resource scarcity and preserving ecosystems &Empowering a circular bioeconomy growth model plastic production & pollution Today!," the accelerator's website states.
