One doesn't have to be a millionaire to be a philanthropist, according to Sydney entrepreneur Deanne Weir, who is debunking some of the myths about what it means to be a donor.
Deanne has pledged $500,000 over five years to the Sydney Women's Fund, and will be donating $500,000 to the IWDA, an Australian organization tackling poverty and discrimination in developing countries such as Cambodia, Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.
