Gracious Friends Animal Sanctuary Uses Grants for Sustainability Plan

Gracious Friends Animal Sanctuary owners, Candace M. Brown and Erik M., have applied for a grant that would finance the hiring of a consultant to analyze the animal sanctuary and review improvements or suggestions for maintenance and future growth.

The Northern New York Community Foundation approved the couple's application with up to $5,000 from its unrestricted endowment. Both with a deep sense of love towards animals, Mrs. Brown claimed that the animal sanctuary is referred to by her husband as "a nursing home for older animals."
