Gathering "On the Table" to Strengthen Communities

Just like the kitchen table that gathers a family every evening for meals, the Community Foundation of Will County is supporting a region-wide endeavor by its parent organization, The Chicago Community Trust, called "On the Table" to gather community members to spark collaboration and conversation.

To be held on May 12, residents across the northeastern region of Illinois will sit down for intimate mealtime discussions – in backyards, kitchens, community centers and churches with colleagues, neighbors, friends and strangers – to discuss ways on how to take back their communities and create and sustain strong, safe and vibrant communities.
