The Flextronics Foundation has awarded Silicon Valley Education Foundation's (SVEF) Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) programs a $55,000 grant to fund assistance to underserved youth.
Some of the grants will go towards the SVEF's Elevate Math and Elevate Science summer programs, formerly named Stepping Up to Algebra and Stepping Up to Science. The remaining funds will be used to help a thousand students in the math and science programs for summer 2014 programs, and sponsor an education forum.
