Jay Boolkin, Co-founder at Social Change Central, shares what he has learned from the 4-Cs of effective social entrepreneurship.
The four Cs are: clarity, courage, counsel, and capital. He features various social entrepreneurs as examples for each of the four Cs.
For clarity, Boolkin cites Kathy Wong of Moeloco and Lauren Shuttleworth of Word With Heart. For courage, he sets Rosie Thomas of Project Rockit and Tom Dawkins of StartSomeGood as prime examples. For counsel, he indicates Jordan O' Reilly of HireUp.
For capital, he discusses both financial and human capital. According to Boolkin, social entrepreneurs need "the Clarity to stay focused and make the best decisions, the Courage to risk failing, the Counsel to point you in the right direction, and the Capital to experiment and grow."
