Lorin Fife wasn't always Jewish. His interest in Judaism preceded his involvement with his future wife, Linda, who is Jewish and whom he’d known as a high school student.
It was the Jewish principle of trying to perfect the world that Fife took to heart and acted upon when he chose to leave Sun America, a financial services holding company, giving him more time to commit to family, volunteering, philanthropy and other activities.
