Akron-Area Nonprofits Garner More Than $1.4 Million Funds from GAR Foundation

A total of 25 Akron-area nonprofits have been allocated with more than $1.4 million in funds from the GAR Foundation.

GAR will match United Way pledges dollar for dollar from new donations from employees, donors and businesses operating first-time campaigns as the agency aims to meet the $12.3 million goal this year. GAR Foundation is a charitable trust co-founded by CEO Roadway Express, Galen J. Roush and his wife, Ruth.
