The Akron Bar Foundation, the charitable arm of the Akron Bar Association, has provided eight grants totaling $37,500 to nonprofit programs catering to the advancement of the justice system, law-related education and justice equality.
The grants will continue the Summit County Advocacy Program and supply life skills training to individuals who have entered the justice system. The training addresses to improve the self-esteem and self-worth of these individuals as they return to society. The grants will also offer volunteer training for those who work with the funded nonprofits.
