First Nations Development Institute of Longmont, Colorado gains a two-year, $500,000 grant from the Northwest Area Foundation.

The grants will fund a research to be used to "uncover emerging trends, areas of progressive development and best practices". The grant earned by the institute is one of the 27 grants totaling $3.3 million that Northwest Area Foundation has announced in the second quarter of 2013.
