The fifth annual summit on breastfeeding is held at Washington, D.C. The focus of the summit is to discuss the advancement of breastfeeding rates in the country.

Collectively, health and public policy authorities, government officials, nonprofits and academic leaders hear about the late C. Everett Koop, a previous US Surgeon General, who advocates breastfeeding for mothers as shared by Dr. Ruth Lawrence of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine.
