Microsoft’s current chairman Bill Gates and telecommunications tycoon Carlos Slim banded together at a maize and wheat research center last week for the contribution of funds that will benefit an agricultural development project.
Although both dignitaries share a hefty net worth, each one approach philanthropy in a different light. Gates spearheads the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation that is geared towards the hunger- and disease-afflicted poor, while Slim finances his philanthropic Carlos Slim Foundation.
