The Black Belt Community Foundation has recently awarded 53 grants amounting to $100,000, to community groups in its 12 county service area at a gala reception at Wallace Community College Selma.
The Greene County organizations grant recipients include: FOGCE Federal Credit Union, Greene County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Greene County Children's Policy Council, Harambe Community Youth Organization and Lower Gainesville Fire Department and Woman To Woman, Inc.

Rivaayat is an initiative by Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi to revive various dying art form and solve innumerable problems faced by the artisans. Rivaayat began with reviving a 20,000-year-old art form of pottery that is a means of survival for 600 families residing in Uttam Nagar, Delhi.
