$1.175 Million from Hearst Foundations

The Hearst Foundations will be doling out $1.175 million in grants to be awarded among five Bay Area initiatives. The Hearst Foundations focuses on culture, education, health and social services.

The largest grant awarded was a $250,000 donation to Best Buddies International to expand its jobs program for disabled youth and adults in Northern California during the next three years.
