The Ford Foundation awarded their first round of grants to seven human rights groups from the Global South to strengthen and diversify the global human rights movement to face the challenges of a changing world.
The following were awarded with $1 million worth of grants each: Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development; Centro de Estudios de Derecho, Justicia y Sociedad; Centro de Estudios Legales y Sociales; Conectas Direitos Humanos; Justica Global; Kenya Human Rights Commission; and Legal Resources Centre.
