The ReachOut OC fund drive of the Orange County Community Foundation will be pledging $525,000 to help families in need.
The $345,000 of the money comes from the community foundation's funds, while the remaining $180,000 come from public donations. The money will be used to provide meals, to provide assistance in rent and utilities, to provide employment support, and to facilitate mobile clinics and health care services to local veterans.
