21 Nonprofits Receive Support from Community Foundation for Southwest Washington

Twenty one nonprofit organizations and schools have been awarded a grant by the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington. The grant in the total amount of $257,000 will be distributed through the foundation's Community Giving Fund, the Cowlitz County Community Fund and the Youth Philanthropy Fund.
The Community Giving Fund received a $199,500 grant to support 15 organizations as well as programs. On the other hand, the Youth Philanthropy Fund has been awarded a $15,000 grant in order to give local high school students the opportunity to research, interview and fund local nonprofits that address issues affecting other teens. The Cowlitz County Community Fund distributed a total amount of $42,500 to 10 projects and groups.
