Richland County Community Foundation needs about $5,000 more in its endowment fund by September in order to guarantee 4 percent annual income from the Montana Community Foundation forever. Ray Trumpower, board member of the foundation, explained as the endowment grows, they could give funding – interest from the fund – to some organizations and projects that may otherwise ask the county for assistance.
The foundation has helped many projects and programs which includes gathering needed information for the Census, Stand Down program for veterans, fireworks in Sidney and Lambert as well as the Warrior After School Program in Fairview.
