Lebanon Family Learners that has been awarded a grant from the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy. The grant in the amount of $25,000 will be used to sustain local programs focused on reading, writing and language comprehension.
The foundation supports the program's objectives by providing funding to the 14 communities in Maine. Among the 14 communities to receive the grant are Sanford Community Adult Education's "Sanford Reads" family literacy program and Five “Lighthouse Model Programs”.
