The West Virginia University Foundation is naming an annual philanthropic award, the Hazel Ruby McQuain Outstanding Philanthropic Foundation Award after one of the school's most consistently generous benefactors.
Foundation President Wayne King says McQuain and the McQuain Charitable Trust that she created have given WVU nearly $40 million over the years including gifts endowed to four chairs in the West Virginia University School of Medicine.
