The Amherst Community Foundation is a nonprofit foundation which aims to raise money and provide funds in order to develop ways for individuals, organizations, and corporations to easily contribute to recreation, educational, cultural, as well as environmental or health and wellness initiatives within the town.
The objectives of the Amherst Community Foundation are primarily to support programs lead by the Recreation Department, such as adult, summer, health and fitness, youth and team sports activities as well as to establish a self-sustaining endowment fund for the Peabody Mill Environmental Center.
