The Indian River Community Foundation has awarded a state grant in the amount of $18,780 to the Salvation Army of Indian River County. The Indian River Community Foundation awarded the grant in order to address the time-sensitive community needs intensified by the recent economic recession.
The grant will be used for the Social Service Program “Ride Safe/Vehicle Safety and Maintenance” which aims to provide relief to folks affected by downturn of the economy, to help folks get to work or who have a job and need the use of reliable transportation, as well as help those with children to get them to areas safely.
