The Navasota ISD Education Foundation members recently awarded $28,909.51 in innovative teaching grants to twelve teachers, who are currently working on six distinct projects.
High Point Elementary teachers Teri Mattern and Julie Mock received $5,000 for a Kinder Kamp project which focuses on activities for "at-risk" students through language arts and mathematics. Kinder Kamp allows students to participate and be actively engaged in a summer school program through the use of creative teaching methods.
