The Southern Vermont College had a culminating ceremony to recognize three local organizations who were awarded grants. The class of 18 students formed three groups that each awarded $1,667 grants to organizations that offer youth enrichment activities, work with victims of child abuse or provide activities for children with autism.
The class was largely made possible by Bank of Bennington, which gave the class the funds to distribute, as well as Stuart Comstock-Gay, president of Vermont Community Foundation, which helps build and manage charitable funds in the state.
