The Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines has set new records for assets and the number of charitable funds it manages, with $183 million in assets in 2011 as it manages a range of funds, including donor-advised and community betterment funds, to support philanthropic and quality-of-life endeavors throughout the metro area.
At its annual luncheon, the foundation will announce winners of the Better Together Award which recognizes those who build social capital and bridge differences and nurture social networks to make a difference.
