ylacauga City Schools Foundation Reached the $1 Million Mark

The Sylacauga City Schools Foundation has reached a major milestone in giving, raising its total funds awarded to more than $1 million since its inception in 1998 after giving out $65,000 in grants at its Marble City Jazz Night fundraiser.

Out of about 85 applications, 24 grants were awarded. Ten grants totaling $21,144 went to Sylacauga High School; 7 grants totaling $11,956 went to Nichols-Lawson Middle School; 3 grants totaling $17,784 went to Pinecrest Elementary School and 4 grants totaling $14,085 went to Indian Valley Elementary School.
