Cate Blanchett Wades Into Philanthropy Tax Row

Actress Cate Blanchett is not pleased with the government's proposals to cap the level of tax relief on charitable donations saying she doesn't think it's just about the money rather about creating an atmosphere of excitement around people who are connected to the work financially.

Blanchett is playing the lead part in Gross und Klein, a production by the Sydney Theatre Company. She is also the fundraiser and manager for the company.
