A $65,000 grant will go to nine local organizations that promote public engagement in Detroit through collaboration between the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and CEOs for Cities.
The funded programs are quite varied and appeal to a wide range of citizens but also share several traits. The groups will split the $65,000 total grant, and CEOs for Cities will track each of the organizations' efforts to gauge their success over the course of the next year.
