John Mayer to be Honored for Philanthropic Efforts

President of The Recording Academy Neil Portnow says John Mayer, who beyond being an enormous talent is also an active philanthropist in arts and education, will be honored at the Hill Awards in 2012.

The event will take place on the eve of The GRAMMYs on the Hill Advocacy Day, where various artists across the country meet with legislators to push for continued arts education and pro-music policies.
