EUR 6 Million to Fund a Language Program

The Kone Foundation granted EUR 6 million to fund a language program supporting the documentation and status of the Finno-Ugric languages and Finnish minority languages. The foundation pledged money for the production of a dictionary of Old Finnish.

Target date to pilot the dictionary of the dialects will be on the day that commemorates the Finnish national epic, the Kalevala.
