Black Children Lead Autism Diagnosis Surge

New CDC data reveals a dramatic shift in autism diagnosis patterns across America.

Black children now show the highest prevalence rates in multiple regions.

Overall autism rates have climbed to 1 in 31 children aged 8 years, a significant increase from the 1 in 36 rate reported in 2020.

The male-to-female prevalence ratio continues to narrow from 4.2 in 2018 to 3.4 in 2022, suggesting improved recognition of autism in girls.
