Ohio Gov.

John Kasich has signed a bill that will make Ohio the first state to legalize marijuana for recreational use, reports the Toledo Blade.

The bill, which still needs to be voted on by the state Senate, would make it legal for residents and visitors to possess and use up to an ounce of the drug for medicinal purposes.

It would also make it legal for businesses to sell it.

Ohio already has legalized recreational use of marijuana for both medicinal and recreational purposes.
