Lilian Choruwa-Chambuka is the face behind the rescue of a set of Murehwa quadruplets from a hospital after their parents failed to find suitable accommodations for them. But she had been involved in philanthropy in Zimbabwe long before that incident. She said helping others defines her life.
Lilian calls her work with the quadruplets part of a divine calling that began when she felt led to purchase newspapers twice, months apart. She read stories about the babies both times, one a happy birth story and the second a sad story about how they had nowhere to go. She went to action and helped get them a happy ending. Lilian has participated in a number of other charitable works and enjoys helping others find a better future.
