Dazed, an influential independent digital magazine, speaks to politicians, writers, activists, and conservation workers on how people can help change the world.
The sit-down with climate activists is part of Dazed's collaboration with #TOGETHERBAND, to champion real, actionable goals for change – set up by British sustainable accessory brand BOTTLETOP.
It aims to bring awareness to the United Nations' Global Goals through the release and promotion of friendship bands.
The initiative is a build up into the UN General Assembly to be held in September 2020, where the next 17 months will see #TOGETHERBAND host events themed around the goals with corresponding themes as colors, like orange for infrastructure and innovation, or red for world poverty.
Dazed interviews climate activists and their recommended reading lists. They include Jake Wooder (UK Student Climate Network), Amy Heley (Green Party Councillor on Brighton and Hove City Council), Noga Levy-Rapoport (Green New Deal campaign), Tom Pashby (Green prospective parliamentary candidate for South West Hertfordshire), Jamie Margolin (Zero Hour), Dan Burgess (GoodForNothing.com), Jennifer Lane (freelance writer and naturalist based in Manchester), Alice Bell (co-director at climate charity 10:10), Nakate Vanessa (Uganda-based teacher), Tyrone Scott (Young Greens Executive Committee), Holly Gillibrand (Scotland: The Big Picture ambassador), and Cameron Saul (co-founder of #TOGETHERBAND and BOTTLETOP).
